Feeling Fantastic on Fridays

Feeling Fantastic on Fridays

Hello Grade 5/6s!!

Yay for our Google Meet day! See you all at 10am!!

Thank you all for another amazing week of hard work and attention towards your learning. We know
there is a LOT going on for so many of you and that your lives have certainly changed in ways we
couldn’t have predicted but we also know you are doing your BEST every single day.

We hope everyone was able to pick up their things at the school and will be able to spend some time
sharing your learning with your parents. You should be SUPER proud of how hard you have worked so
far this year :) You can also use your journals to document some of your learning now too.

Design Challenge
Today’s focus for the Phys. Ed Challenge:
1) Research
2) Experimentation & Exploration (you get to play!)

That’s right. We would like you to spend some time researching and developing your ideas. Can you find
games in your searches that inspire you to change/add something to one of your current ideas? Are you
able to come up with another new and novel idea? Over the weekend, we would like you to try out a
couple of the games that you are MOST excited about developing further. This is where we begin to
converge (or narrow down) our ideas and to begin to design around a couple of ideas. Have FUN and
enjoy your weekend!

Gratitude Journal Page
How is your gratitude journal coming?  Hopefully you’re taking time each day to jot down something
you are grateful for.  Take the opportunity to look back at your page.  Add in any days that you are
missing.  It’s okay if you can’t remember exactly what you did on that day.  Just add something that you
know you’ve been grateful for during this time.  Your teachers are looking forward to seeing these soon!
We will let you know how to share them in google classroom.

Duck News!
Did you know Ms. O’s classes will have some ducks hatching again this year?! How exciting!! If you are
interested in seeing some of the steps being done to support the care of these soon to be ducklings-
please head over to Ms. O’s blog (http://msoveracker.blogspot.com/) and check it out! Ms. O mentioned
that she has recently uploaded a video showing her candling the eggs to see what might be inside!
