Mr. Schmidt prepared some fun activities for his day of teaching on Tuesday which included some backwards math, leading some fun games in the PE power hour and helped students make final edits for their presentations in Google Slides. We also had a HUGE grade 3 building challenge where students were asked to create a tower using strips of paper that they turned into hearts. Mr. Schmidt raised the highest amount of money in our class to go towards the library redesign. This week, we started out with welcoming our new guest teacher for the next 10 weeks! Also, congratulations to Ryder on reading the highest number of minutes in our class :) Highlights of what we have been working on: We have been continuing our work in subtraction with regrouping in mathematics. We had a couple of challenge riddles that asked students to solve equations in order to solve the riddles. In ELA we have been working on our stories! We wrote three possible story beginnings, selected one and asked for two stars and a wish from a peer and then reworked our story beginning.
