Weekly Highlights: In math, we have been taking on our design challenge of the reading nooks to talk about data, data collection and how we represent that data. This week we have been focusing on how to represent the data we have collected in our classrooms. This led us into a discussion about: bar graphs and double bar graphs, x and y axis, positive and negative integers as well as giving us an opportunity to graph our individual and some of our collective data. We also had a couple of opportunities to play some math games on prodigy. We had a couple of just write sessions this week to continue working on our writing stamina. Our focus continues to be around using sensory and imagery into our writing with the support of the resource provided by Cathy Beverage.
